Barnyard Games, the game development company based on the metaverse platform "Fortnite", has announced the completion of a $3.4 million new round of financing, led by Menlo Ventures, with BetaWorks, Alumni Ventures, Charge VC, and major strategic angel investors Eden Chen and Nate Mitchell also participating. Barnyard Games, built on the virtual gaming engine Fortnite (UEFN) platform, has already released five games. This financing deal is reportedly the first investment transaction for Amy Wu, former game partner at Lightspeed Venture Partners and former FTX game executive, after joining Menlo Ventures.
